69. The Chief Electoral Officer shall withdraw the authorization of any independent Member if the Member joins a political party.

69. The chief electoral officer shall withdraw the authorization of a party which does not present official candidates in at least 20 electoral divisions at a general election or the number of whose official candidates at the election falls below the required minimum except where such situation results from the death of an official candidate.
The chief electoral officer shall also withdraw the authorization of any independent Member if the Member joins a political party.
