328. The chief electoral officer shall grant the authorization if the conditions provided in sections 325, 326 and 327 are met.
The chief electoral officer shall, however, refuse authorization to a party if the name of the party includes the word “independent” or is likely to mislead the electors as to which party they are contributing to.
The chief electoral officer shall refuse to change the name of a political party if the change is likely to mislead the electors as to which party they are contributing to.
