2.1. (Repealed).

2.1. The Government may enter into an agreement with a Native community represented by its band council to allow the pursuit of activities for food, ritual or social purposes.
Every person to whom the agreement applies is, with respect to the pursuit of the activities concerned, exempted from the application of any inconsistent provision of this Act or the regulations, provided the person satisfies the conditions set out in the agreement.
The exemption may be subject to the holding of a licence or other authorization issued by the Minister or the council, as provided in the agreement. The agreement may also provide for special management procedures applicable to the activities concerned.
The Minister shall table every agreement before the National Assembly within 15 days of the date on which it is signed if the Assembly is in session, or, if it is not sitting, within 15 days of resumption.
