40. Upon due proof so made, the enterprise registrar may grant supplementary letters patent extending the powers of the company to all or any of the objects set out in the resolution, or reducing, amending or varying such powers, according to the tenor of the resolution. The enterprise registrar shall immediately deposit the supplementary letters patent in the register; and, after such deposit, but from the date of the supplementary letters patent, the undertaking of the company shall extend to or be limited to the objects set forth in the supplementary letters patent, as if such objects were mentioned in the letters patent or the charter by which the company was constituted as a legal person.
