Section 1 Disposition versions

1. In this Act,

“Council” means the Council of the Communauté urbaine de Québec;

“Minister” means the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Greater Montréal;

“Société” means the Société de transport de la Communauté urbaine de Québec constituted in Title II.

1. In this Act,

1. In this Act, unless the context imposes a different meaning, the following expressions and words mean respectively:

(a)  “Urban Community” or “Community” : the corporation constituted by section 2;

(b)  “executive committee” : the executive committee of the Community;

(c)  “Council” : the Council of the Community;

(d)  “territory of the Community” : the whole of the territory of the municipalities mentioned in Schedule A;

(e)  “Transit Commission” : the Commission de transport de la Communauté urbaine de Québec;

(f)  “peripheral territory” : the territory which is constituted by that of the municipalities enumerated in Schedule C;

(g)  “public transport undertaking or service” : any undertaking or service for the public transport of passengers which makes use of any means of transport other than taxi-cabs, under whatever contractual terms and conditions;

(h)  “Minister” : the Minister of Municipal Affairs.
