6. The Council is composed of 11 members: a chairman elected in accordance with section 7 and two representatives of each municipality whose territory is included in that of the Community.
The representatives of each municipality are the mayor and a councillor designated by the council of the municipality.
However, if either of these persons holds the office of chairman of the Council, he shall be replaced in his capacity as representative of the municipality in accordance with section 7.1.

The Council is composed of nineteen members, namely, the mayor and three councillors of the city of Hull, the mayor and three councillors of the city of Gatineau, the mayor and one councillor of the town of Aylmer, the mayor of the city of Buckingham, the mayor of the town of Masson, the mayor of each of the municipalities of Val-des-Monts, La Pêche, Pontiac, L’Ange-Gardien, Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette and Cantley and the mayor of the township of Hull, “west part”.

The Council is composed of eighteen members, namely, the mayor and three councillor of the city of Hull, the mayor and three councillors of the city of Gatineau, the mayor and one councillor of the town of Aylmer, the mayor of the city of Buckingham, the mayor of the town of Masson, the mayor of each of the municipalities of Val-des-Monts, La Pêche, Pontiac, L’Ange-Gardien and Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette and the mayor of the township of Hull, west part.

6. The Council shall be composed of fourteen members, including a chairman appointed by the Government, the mayor and three councillors of the city of Hull, the mayor and two councillors of the city of Gatineau, the mayor of the town of Aylmer, the mayor of each of the municipalities of Val-des-Monts, La Pêche and Pontiac, the mayor of the township of Hull, west part, and the representative of the sector of the city of Buckingham, of the town of Masson and of the municipalities of Ange-Gardien and Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette designated in the manner provided for in sections 7 to 18.
If the mayor refuses or is unable to act, the council of the municipality shall designate as a substitute another of its members by resolution, a copy of which shall be sent to the Community before the meeting.
The councillors of the city of Hull and of the city of Gatineau shall be designated by resolution of the municipal council of which they are members.
