C-35 - Act respecting the Commission municipale

1. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1)  the word Commission designates the Commission municipale du Québec established under this Act;
(2)  the word Minister designates the Minister of Municipal Affairs, Regions and Land Occupancy;
(3)  (paragraph repealed);
(4)  the word fabrique designates a legal person constituted under the Act respecting fabriques (chapter F-1);
(5)  the word council includes the executive committee or the administrative committee of a municipality;
(6)  the expression secretary-treasurer includes, when the case requires it, the clerk or the treasurer;
(7)  the words municipality in default designate a municipality which is declared to be in default under the provisions of Division VI;
(8)  the words fabrique in default designate a fabrique which is declared to be in default under the provisions of Division VI.

1. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires:

(7)  the words municipality in default designate a municipality within the meaning of this act which is declared to be in default under the provisions of Division VI;
(8)  the words fabrique in default designate a fabrique which is declared to be in default under the provisions of Division VI.

(3)  The word municipality means any municipal corporation whatsoever, whether formed or governed by a general or special act, and it also includes every corporation of school commissioners or of school trustees, The Commission des écoles catholiques de Québec, and, generally, every commission and every board incorporated for the administration of schools in Québec; but, does not include the Conseil scolaire de l’île de Montréal and the school boards under its jurisdiction;
(4)  The word fabrique designates a corporation constituted under the Act respecting fabriques;
(5)  The word council includes the executive committee or the administrative committee of a city and, when the context permits, designates also the school commission;
(6)  The expression secretary-treasurer includes, when the case requires it, the clerk or the treasurer of a city or town;
(7)  The words municipality in default designate a municipality within the meaning of this act which is declared to be in default under the provisions of Division VI;
(8)  the words fabrique in default designate a fabrique which is declared to be in default under the provisions of Division VI.
