144. Any person who fails to comply with any obligation or prohibition imposed by this Code, by a regulation of the Government or by a regulation or decision of the Tribunal under this Code, is guilty of an offence and liable, unless another penalty is applicable, to a fine of $100 to $500 and of $1,000 to $5,000 for any subsequent conviction.

Any person who fails to comply with any obligation or prohibition imposed by this code, by a regulation of the Government or by a regulation or decision of certification agent, labour commissioner, the Court or one of its judges, is guilty of an offence and liable, unless another penalty is applicable, to a fine of $100 to $500 and of $1 000 to $5 000 for any subsequent offence within two years.

Any person who fails to comply with any obligation or prohibition imposed by this code, by a regulation of the Gouvernement or by a regulation or decision of an investigator, investigation commissioner, the Court or one of its judges, is guilty of an offence and liable, unless another penalty is applicable, to a fine of twenty-five to one hundred dollars and of one hundred to one thousand dollars for any subsequent offence within two years.
