331. Any person tendering his vote must take the following oath before the presiding officer, if so required by such presiding officer, by an elector, by any candidate or by the representative of any candidate:
“I swear (or I affirm) that I am a Canadian citizen; that nothing has been given or promised me to induce me to vote at this election; that I am duly qualified to vote at this election; that I am at least 18 years of age, and that I have not already voted at this election. So help me God”.
If such elector refuses to take such oath, his vote must be refused.
