299. (Repealed).
M.C. 1916, a. 253; 1987, c. 57, s. 749.
299. The election clerk must assist the presiding officer in the performance of his duties, and act in his stead whenever he refuses or is disqualified or unable to perform his duties, and has not been replaced.
In the case of the change of a presiding officer, the election clerk continues in office, unless he is replaced in the discretion of the new presiding officer.
