The court clerk notifies a judgment granting the annulment of a marriage or a civil union, separation from bed and board or as to property, a divorce or the dissolution of a civil union to the registrar of civil status, the personal and movable real rights registrar, Retraite Québec, the depositary of the original of the marriage contract or civil union contract and the depositary of the original of any contract modifying the matrimonial or civil union regime.
The depositary is required to bring to the attention of persons who refer to the original or a copy of such a contract the fact that a judgment has been rendered in connection with the contract and to give them the information needed to access the judgment, including the judgment date, the court record number, the court that rendered the judgment, and the judicial district in which the judgment was rendered.
