205. Anyone who contravenes any of sections 78.1 to 78.3 and 176 or an order issued by the Minister under section 128.3 or by the Office under section 177 commits an offence and is liable to a fine of $700 to $7,000 in the case of a natural person and $3,000 to $30,000 in all other cases.
No penal proceedings may be instituted against a person if the alleged failure to comply makes the person liable to the disciplinary measures referred to in section 204.32.

205. Every person who contravenes a provision of this Act or the regulations adopted by the Government thereunder commits an offence and is liable
(a)  to a fine of $600 to $6,000 in the case of a natural person;
(b)  to a fine of $1,500 to $20,000 in the case of a legal person.
The fines are doubled for a subsequent offence.
In determining the amount of a fine, the judge takes into account, among other things, the revenues and other benefits the offender derived from the offence and any damages and socio-economic consequences that resulted from the offence.
Moreover, if a person is convicted of an offence under this Act, a judge may, on an application made by the prosecutor and submitted with the statement of offence, impose on the offender, in addition to any other penalty, a further fine equal to the financial gain the offender realized or derived from the offence, even if the maximum fine has also been imposed.

(a)  for each offence, to a fine of $250 to $700 in the case of a natural person, and of $500 to $1,400 in the case of a legal person;
(b)  for any subsequent conviction, to a fine of $500 to $1,400 in the case of a natural person, and of $1,000 to $7,000 in the case of a legal person.

205. Every person who contravenes a provision of this Act other than section 136 or of a regulation made under this Act by the Government or by the Office de la langue française is guilty of an offence and liable
(a)  for each offence, to a fine of $50 to $700 in the case of a natural person, and of $75 to $1 400 in the case of an artificial person;
(b)  for any subsequent conviction, to a fine of $75 to $1 400 in the case of a natural person, and of $700 to $7 000 in the case of an artificial person.

205. Every person who contravenes a provision of this Act other than section 136 or of a regulation made under this Act by the Government or by the Office de la langue française is guilty of an offence and liable
(a)  for each offence, to a fine of $30 to $575 in the case of a natural person, and of $60 to $1 150 in the case of an artificial person;
(b)  for any subsequent conviction, to a fine of $60 to $1 150 in the case of a natural person, and of $575 to $5 750 in the case of an artificial person.

(a)  for each offence, to a fine of $30 to $575 in the case of a natural person, and of $60 to $1 150 in the case of an artificial person;
(b)  for any subsequent offence within two years of a first offence, to a fine of $60 to $1 150 in the case of a natural person, and of $575 to $5 750 in the case of an artificial person.

(b)  for any subsequent offence within two years of a first offence, to a fine of $50 to $1 000 in the case of a natural person, and of $500 to $5 000 in the case of an artificial person.
