4. The affairs of Bibliothèque et Archives nationales are administered by a board of directors composed of 15 members, including the chair of the board and the president and chief executive officer.

4. The affairs of Bibliothèque et Archives nationales are administered by a board of governors composed of 15 members, including the chair of the board and the president and chief executive officer, appointed in accordance with the rules set out in this division.

4. The affairs of Bibliothèque et Archives nationales shall be administered by a board of governors composed of the following persons who shall become members of the board upon their appointment or election:
(1)  six persons, including the chair, appointed by the Government on the recommendation of the Minister of Culture and Communications. One of these persons must be employed in the field of document management within the public administration and another must be from the film sector;
(1.1)  four persons, appointed by the Government, on the recommendation of the Minister of Culture and Communications and after consultation with the library sector, the publishing industry, writers associations and universities. Two of the persons appointed must be librarians, one a specialist in the area of preservation and the other, in the area of dissemination;
(1.2)  two persons from the archival sector, appointed by the Government on the recommendation of the Minister of Culture and Communications and after consultation with that sector;
(2)  two persons appointed by Ville de Montréal;
(3)  two users of Bibliothèque et Archives nationales, including one resident of Ville de Montréal, elected by a majority vote of their peers, in accordance with the by-laws of Bibliothèque et Archives nationales.
The head librarian of Ville de Montréal shall also be a member of the board of Bibliothèque et Archives nationales.
