Regulation respecting exemption from payment for certain ferry transport services

Transport Act

(chapter T-12, s. 5).

1. Ferry service shall be free for both passengers and vehicles between:

(1)  Île-aux-Grues and the south shore of the St. Lawrence River;

(2)  Île-aux-Coudres and the north shore of the St. Lawrence River; and

(3)  Baie-Sainte-Catherine and Tadoussac.

2. Ferry service shall be free for passengers between:

(1)  Île d’Entrée and Îles-de-la-Madeleine, for residents and natives of Île d’Entrée, their spouses and minor children;

(2)  the village and the airport of Saint-Augustin, in accordance with the public air transport schedules; and

(3)  Île de Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola and Sorel for students attending a school of a school service centre, a general and vocational college, a private institution accredited for purposes of subsidies under the Act respecting private education (chapter E-9.1), an institution whose instructional program is the subject of an international agreement within the meaning of the Act respecting the Ministère des Relations internationales (chapter M-25.1.1) or a university.

4. Any passenger presenting a valid pass issued by the Réseau de transport de la Capitale or by the Société de transport de Lévis shall be admitted free of charge to the Québec/Lévis ferry.

5. This Regulation replaces the Regulation respecting the exemption from payment of certain ferry transportation services (O.C. 1679-82, 82-07-07).
